Online Training

Frederik’s training will focus primarily on the Harmonious Strength and Repatterning Stretching syllabuses, while Craig’s will focus on the Daoist Physical Cultivation syllabus. Dave is currently not taking online students.

Online Training with Craig Mallett

If you are interested in practicing in the way that I practice I am now taking students. The approach to training is quite unique and so must be taught from the beginning for everyone. You need not have any particular history of practice, sedentary and athletic people alike are all welcome and will all benefit dramatically from this approach. The work is slow – I am not interested in quick fixes. Think months and years rather than days and weeks. This is not about performance, health or fitness – even though some of these things may improve as a byproduct. This is about self-cultivation and I will act as a guide in this process. This is not spiritual work but will function to adequately prepare an individual for spiritual work if they wish to engage this type of practice at a later date with an appropriately skilled Teacher. All teaching is done via the internet and as such is available to anyone with an internet connection.

What to Expect

We start by laying the foundation. This is typically a process that takes more than a year, where we will systematically bring to life certain qualities that form the base of all the other practice we will do. We will be learning to calm and focus the mind; expand the breath for increased energy and increase internal sensation; and make the physical body strong, relaxed and aligned. We will study habits of posture, tension and behaviour to catch and dissolve inhibiting factors and free us from our cage of automation and false-personality.

The specifics of what will be trained is quite individual. A balance between working on what is needed and working on what is enjoyable is necessary. I aim to increase aliveness – forcing our way through practice like a chore or thrashing our body, emotions and mind are both extremely detrimental to this.

Generally, I encourage students to do 3 small sessions a day of 10-15 minutes per session (30-45 mins total each day). We use 3 sessions so we can spread our attention between practices for the body, practices for the breath and practices for the mind – each of which are equally important for development. The sessions can be done at any time but I usually recommend doing one in the morning upon waking, one at lunch and one in the evening.

This kind of training is to help us engage with our lives more completely, not replace our lives with training. We can practice a lot if we are feeling inspired but there is no pressure to do any more that a few short sessions each day. Even the habit of daily short sessions is tricky to build and it is recognized that this habit will sometimes fall away in the first year or two.  It’s not a problem, just get back into it when you are ready and we will continue from there!

Online students will receive written instructions and video tutorials, and can check in at any time via message (Telegram), email or video call.


I do not wish to take any anonymous people as students, so we will need to meet via video call so I can get an idea of what kind of person you are and what you’re after with your practice. If this kind of practice seems like a good match for you we will then proceed with building a practice routine. Online Training with Frederik Beck

I am beginning a new phase of experimentation within the Physical Alchemy system. Just as Dave has brought Stretching into the Physical Re-Patterning Work paradigm, so now I seek the same with strength training (virtuously blended with multiple stretching methods, coordination training and exercises for the structural balance of the physical body, of course).

What I teach is drawn from my studies in Medicine (Msc. Medicine), physical culture (gymnastics, strength training and stretching) and my own experimentation. I have also augmented my research by studying methods such as: Stretch Therapy, Emmet Louis´ M3 and Craig Mallett´s Chinese Stretching Syllabus.

During 2016-2017 I became the second person to complete a full apprenticeship in Physical Alchemy.

In my cosmology training is primarily with the individuals unique patterns and gifts in harmony with their goal/direction – then secondly focused upon general physiology and programming. There cannot be one exact recipe because everyone responds differently.

Spaces are limited given the nature of such individualised training. If you are based in Europe meet-ups may be possible.
